Mamma-Implantat-Komplikationen

Zusammenfassung

Es gibt einen grundlegenden Zusammenhang zwischen Silikon­implantaten der Brust und mehreren Erkrankungen, auch auto­immuner/autoentzündlicher Syndrome. Lokale Komplikationen wie Schmerzen, Schwellung, Rötung, Infektion, Kapselkontraktur, Implantatruptur und Gelbluten sind möglich. Die MRT ist sensitiver und hat eine größere Spezifität im Nachweis von Implantat­rupturen als Mammografie, CT oder Sonografie.

Abstract

There is a causal association between silicone breast implants and several diseases, including autoimmune/autoinflammatory ­syndromes. Local complications such as pain, swelling, redness, infections, capsular contracture, implant rupture, and gel-bleed are possible. MR imaging is more sensitive and specific for the detection of breast implant rupture than is mammography, CT, or sonography.
