Abstract
Integrative radio-oncology combines evidence-based supportive and complementary interventions with radiotherapy care. This article explores the potential role of radiographers (MTR) in patient counselling, health promotion, and interprofessional referral. The findings are based on qualitative interviews with nine radiographers (MTR) working in radiotherapy departments in Berlin. The results indicate that counselling approaches are already being used, while also revealing gaps in knowledge, limited resources, and a need for further training. In the future, radiographers (MTR) could assume a more targeted counselling and navigator role. Clear professional boundaries, appropriate training, and suitable organisational structures are essential for implementation.
