Insufficient appreciation, stress during work and frequently excessive demands – such are some of the causes of frustration among medical technologists and they can create the willingness to consider another position. But those decisions are not made lightly and don't happen overnight, but over the course of frustrating weeks, months, sometimes even years.

The employer is surprised to find a resignation letter on their desk and colleagues are also astonished when someone from their ranks hands in their notice.

„Time to say goodbye?“

Those who resign already have another job lined up. It‘s a long road from initial thoughts to final resignation, and never a spontaneous decision on the part of MT. A storm also rarely comes out of the blue but gradually builds up. Is resigning really the right decision when the level of commitment to the place of work wanes? The term ‚job satisfaction‘ refers to the overall level of satisfaction: decent pay, appreciation, the mood within the team, the latest technology, flexible working hours, paid overtime and courtesy and cooperation regarding personal requests.
